Quinn's Cup 2019
Quinn’s Cup is February 2 & 3, 2019!
We wrote a spotlight last year about the Kirsch family and their beautiful passion to raise awareness about Myocarditis. Below is an update from them.
Dear players, coaches, sponsors, friends and family -
January 2019 will mark 6 years since losing our beloved son Quinn Kirsch to Myocarditis. As time has passed, a script has been written we never could’ve imagined. We started the 1st Quinn’s Cup with some core beliefs. First, let’s remember Quinn in a meaningful way. Second, lets raise awareness to the undiagnosed and often mistreated cardiovascular condition known as Myocarditis. Finally, let’s get kids to rally around an event and play hockey the way Quinn played…outside, with friends, big smiles and for the love of the game. It was a simple mission and one we never imagined would take on a life of its own. We started in the first year with around 20 teams and last year over 60 teams and over 700 kids skated in Quinn’s Cup. To date, Quinn’s Cup has donated over $145,000 to the Myocarditis Foundation www.myocarditisfoundation.org. Thank you!
As we look to the future we hope that Quinn’s memory will have a lasting impact on the people who came along for the ride. We hope that if one person can be saved by raising awareness we will have taken a tragedy and turned into something better.
